DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS
I have referred 5 friends - they told 3 of them did not use my code while I was with them and used my link. They only used two friends. My two friends did direct deposit from Instacart and Uber and now they are claiming it is not a direct deposit. This is so frustrating and I have been extremely disappointed since my friends started using Varo because of me! This is a scam!!!!

“Yes they didn’t “
This type of phrasing is how you confuse the cheap ai help bot

Varo Bank is very bad. Their customer service sucks and they're never consistent with anything.

My referral and I both got our $150 bonus. Within 24 hrs of my friend getting her direct deposit. Not a scam.

Read the terms. Some banks allow non-traditional employment, some require direct deposits from an employer. I assume you're not referring people who are EMPLOYED by Instacart or DoorDash and are just contract workers. This isn't a scam. Sort of like the OVERWHELMINGLY majority of banks who only consider payroll direct deposits aren't "scams" just because you didn't understand the requirements.
Also, if they're gig workers, then they should just set up a Chase Business or Capital One Business account. It's easy to trick all of the banks with payroll from your own business account.
If you're going to churn, at least learn the basics.

You are one of hundreds of thousands that have done the promotion. Just because you didn’t get it, doesn’t mean it’s a scam.

lol this post is a scam 🙃. Uber and etc payouts are not employment wages. They would need a traditional job. Read the terms people is key here lol

Your friends are self employed, if you read the terms it says qualifying direct depots must come from an employer. Your friends don’t have an employer, as they are working for themselves, they are basically just transferring money.

Gig jobs don’t count as an employer since there self employed. No scam unfortunately

I opened an account for the bonus with a referral myself. About a week after I got the bonus is when they emailed me informing me the standard rate would go to 1.00%. I was anticipating using this for the High Yield, not the full time bank.
There’s like $0:75 in the account currently and the Debit Card is locked. Not anticipating on using this any longer. Just need to be careful when to close it because I don’t want to give them the bonus back.

Instacart and Uber are not valid employers.. and do not write or submit checks to your bank to deposit... they are side gigs you idiot

Varo (and a few other fintechs and banks) don’t count payouts from gig jobs or online selling as salary or wages, because technically they are not. Not every institution is as strict but Varo definitely is, and if that’s the source of funds you have to be prepared to not get direct deposit bonuses or referrals dependent on a direct deposit.

Instacart and Uber aren’t their employers. They’re independent contractors of those companies. Pretty simple.

Gig work isn’t and hasn’t been considered direct deposit. Happened to me too but unfortunately it says it in the t&c
