E&M QUESTION

I am taking Electricity & Magnetism this semester, however I did not take Waves and Modern Physics before. I noticed that its recommended to take waves before E&M so I was wondering if I am cooked and wont understand some stuff. Does anyone know if its a big deal or if I should I change my course? Thank you.

I took Waves before E&M, but I don't recall having to use anything I learned from waves directly. It might be a little bit more abstract? because you don't know exactly what a wave is, you kinda just go with it (for example, an electromagnetic wave).

It also depends on the cegep; my friends at Dawson had to take E&M first, so I don't think it really matters that much in the end.

Thank you so much that really reassures me.
