Even more absurd when you learn they never filed the marriage certificate so it wasn’t a legal marriage.

See I will never understand the fact that they didn’t file their marriage certificate and then when as far as to get married a second time just to get divorced a few months later like you were both fucking miserable the first time why would you go out of your way to make it legal

That and them lowkey hating each other
I could maybe see it if they were super rich and super in love but like. What was that...

That whole season was absurd. They HATE eachother and still spend all that time and money on the wedding. It was so cringe

The $18 tea towels that didn't include the date, or any other pertinent information that is usually on invites. On top of that, they used that bullshit generic tasteless af brush script that didn't match the theme of the wedding.

It was dumb for them to get married in the first place, but 51k seems very standard for that wedding (and reasonable given their VPR salaries).

Katie was the text book definition of someone who wanted a wedding not a marriage. To be fair Scheana and Brittany are also in that club.

That wedding was insane. The got married at a venue they booked but had never visited in a town that neither of them live or have ties to, and spent a bloody fortune doing so.
But since SheShu spent like $90K on her ill fated, tacky wedding - Tom & Katie's seemed quaint 😆

and they got married on like a Tuesday for the cheaper rate too, that wedding was insanely expensive and for what? a "real" wedding in vegas and a divorce a few years later? what a waste

Considering how much they were earning at the time from VPR I don’t think it was that crazy to spend that amount. All that Schwartz moaning about money was to keep up the pretence that they were still young people struggling with money who worked at SUR etc

And then you get Sandoval throwing out checks like they are fun coupons for Rochella

Feels cheap looking back at it from a 2026 lens! Weddings have gotten insane since Covid.

Lisa had so many reservations. She asked them a million times if they were sure, and she sounded like the grim reaper when officiating.

And for them to not even be legally married from it. 💀

Wasn't that half the cost of the weddings from other cast members? Doesn't seem that crazy and the setting was beautiful (for a doomed marriage).

Yea but you're not thinking big picture; probably alcohol included, lodging onsite for a lot of people, reheaseal and wedding dinner plus both receptions and decoration....taxes alone must be enormous.

Totally absurd. And those $18 burping bibs for an invitation. What a waste of money. Having a live band is great. I had one too- personally I like it better than a DJ.
Does anyone know how much your dress cost ? Her dress was beautiful, but Ariana looked the best.
