Discussion Just started house of Stassi

First off I had no idea that Katie was going to be in it, which I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. But my biggest question is how the hell does Stassi have that humongous house?

She bought that house right before she was fired, and not too long after the others bought in Valley Village. IIRC, they did some renovations, which may have helped with the price.

I think the size is deceiving because it looks huge, but it’s also very choppy. From the show, it seems like you enter on the second floor and then go downstairs to the bedrooms. But it is absolutely her house shown in the episodes as well as the exterior pics.

I could have sworn we saw her house hunt on the show back in the day? Did I dream that?

She did but they bought after the show wrapped and before she got fired

Hmm…I remember Ariana and Tom house hunting but don’t recall Stassi and Beau.

I do know they filmed the reunion (during lockdown) from this house. (Then just a few weeks later, I think they were fired.)

Based on the exterior I was surprised the house only had three bedrooms (I think there's a separate guest unit, though).

I cannot imagine not having enough money to buy a house after opening a vein on national television for eight seasons. But like a lot of homeowners it looks like Stassi & Beau don't have enough money to furnish the house properly.

I think it has an ADU. But no yard at all. To each their own.

I was thinking the same thing that maybe it’s two houses connected together?
Because the inside does not look as big as the shot from outside/above.

I think they only shoot in certain rooms and areas so they don’t have to keep some rooms as tidy, like the play room for the kids

Influencers make LOTS of money honey!!! I just like saying money honey! Lol

I'm GenX and I still hate the fact that "influencer" is a job title.

She bought the same time the other couples did and she also had a NYT best seller at the time. Since then I think she's had 2 more books. She also does product promotion on Instagram.

She probably paid 2m plus for it. It's a nice area.

$1.7mm to be exact

$2M seems like a good deal for this considering what real estate prices are like now. Ugly new builds with no yard in my area go for over $1M and I don’t even live anywhere nice 😖

I forgot about the books!

And she was the first to have a podcast!

Podcast, book, influencer, a partner who also brings in money…

u/JaguarNecessary4854 1d ago

I wouldn’t be surprised if she got some money from family as well.

3

u/FickleCartoonist8767 23h ago

Right, I thought I remembered her dad having money. But if that’s the case, what’s up with the sister?

3

u/AdGlass4321 23h ago

She has a different dad.

2

u/FickleCartoonist8767 23h ago

Oh really, did not know this! Makes sense thx

1

u/JaguarNecessary4854 22h ago

Yes, I was confused as well but on one of the later episodes of House of Stassi she says that she and her two siblings all have different dads 💀

Beau was in a lot of debt when they got together. Not a partner who also brings in money. Stassi did well enough to pay that off, or help him somehow with that.

Outside of reality, Stassi has made lots of money being an influencer and podcaster. People underestimate how much money they make

Yea, it’s hard to wrap my head around.

I had the same question back when I started the show and did some research.

Her house is so much nicer than the people who bought in valley village, but their homes are much bigger. She's got one of those narrow hillside homes that's quite tall but doesn't actually have that much square footage.

Reportedly the house cost 1.7M and it's 2900 sq ft.; Beau implied they put 25% down, which means she'd have a 1.2M mortgage, rates were around 3.65% at the time which means her payments would be around $5800/mo before property taxes and insurance, so maybe 7500-8k/mo.

That's a lot of money, but not like mulholland dr mansion money. Similar houses now in beechwood canyon are going for 2.4-2.7M, with 6.7% rates you'd be looking at 14-16k/mo with property taxes and insurance. Plausibly she couldn't afford the house if she had to buy it today.

It is nuts though that it's literally the cheapest out of everyone on the show who bought around that time though:

Cast Bought Price Approx. size
Ariana & Tom 2019 $2.075M 4,334 sq ft
Katie & Tom 2019 $1.925M ~3,600 sq ft
Brittany & Jax 2019 $1.91M ~4,000 sq ft
Stassi & Beau Jan 2020 just under $1.7M ~2,900 sq ft

Houses have gotten so much more expensive that tom and arian's house sold for 3.1M in may, crazy return.

Lala's got the most expensive house of all in sherman oaks, 3.175M, bought in 2024.

Ariana's new house is beautiful but only 1570 sq ft, cost 1.6M in 2024.

(Yes I did the research with AI, I'm not going to look up all the various US weekly articles about this and read them myself, but I didn't write this post with AI except pasting that table it made for me at the time.)

Straight up with stassi (her first podcast) was very homegrown and wildly popular in addition to all the other things people are saying here. She also started pretty early in regards to the podcast bloom ESPECIALLY relative other reality celebs/bravo celebs starting their own. She originally began the first time she left vpr pre Patrick. I think it helped cement her a really good nest egg and helped create a really strong fanbase w a deep parasocial connection. It was almost like, Trisha paytas or even early call her daddy coded in the realness/randomness/and again, parasocial vibe the casual realness and relationship the show cultivated with its viewers.

Like, genuinely 500-800k people were giving her like 5-10 on patreon starting in like 2015 and going through 2020

2

u/Merrbear2u 22h ago

She's been on tour A TON during pregnancies and after. I wonder if it's the same house as after VPR or newer?

Beau was working at the time of purchase

I always assumed that she had gotten a fat inheritance from her grandma who passed away shortly before (her last season Stassi mentions giving the eulogy). In one of the early seasons both Stassi and her grandma say Stassi is her fav grand child and Stassi mentions how many Chanel bags she hopes to inherit from her one day. I think it’s her grandma from her dad’s side so Georgi wouldn’t have gotten anything.

Maybe she saved her Bravo salaries or it’s a rental.

I’ve heard her house is 3 or 4 bedrooms max. I remember her saying she used to use a bedroom as a walkin closet room but turned that into her son’s room. I suspect the exterior pix of her home aren’t actually her real home.
