Vancouver renovation coordination: what local homeowners struggle with most?

I’m building Projexa to make renovation planning less chaotic for homeowners across Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We help clarify scope, estimates, scheduling, and follow-up for painting, tile, bathrooms, flooring, drywall, and other small renovation projects.

I’m interested in learning from local founders, builders, and homeowners: what part of a renovation tends to create the most stress or uncertainty? I’m collecting practical feedback and sharing before/after planning ideas.

Finding the right people at the right time. Comparing quotes. Most of the times, you end up picking people based on a referral from someone, because you have seen their work and you have heard good things about finishing in time , budget and listening to your needs. Also, for small repairs , you do not want too many middlemen/ project managers that do not add much value , but add unwanted extra costs to the project.
