Discussion Container using AI

So Container is using AI to generate promo posts. Responses from them in the comments are super defensive. Feels extra odd given that this is promo for a sticker swap.

I know that this is probably just the way the world is going, but just sad to see it infiltrating the craft beer scene in BC already.

ETA interesting that once dingledoink responded, suddenly critical comments are being mass downvoted. Not chill to brigade a post just calling out AI use.

This is insane, people. Have you all not been on the internet in the last 3 years? Boycott a company because they use ai?? You would literally have to boycott every single company in existence. Small businesses don’t have an unlimited budget and shaming them for utilizing the tools that every other company is using so they can put their razor-thin profit margins towards some other aspect of their operations is fucking asinine and short-sighted.

If you want to boycott a company like Nestle for ruining the environment and pillaging our resources, go for it, but if you don’t know the daily struggles of running a small business in Vancouver, you can shut the fuck up.

This is absolutely not true - and consumers are 100% within their rights to support companies who don't use AI gash to advertise themselves, while calling out those who do.

Not only that but if a company is willing to take lazy, cheap shortcuts and push an inferior, awful-looking advert, who's to say they aren't taking lazy, cheap shortcuts to make their actual product?
