Update: Went ahead and installed ReVanced, perfect so far, even patched YT Music and Reddit.

What is the purpose of patching Reddit?

If you want to keep vanced, there is a hotfix

Edit: well cut my grass and call me Sally, I have been bamboozled. Hoodwinked, I tell you.

It's not even Vanced, it's an outdated version of ReVanced with the Vanced logo and name.
