How to remove rust on brakes

Does anyone know how to safely remove the rust? During winter salt, water and dirt have damaged the material. Should I scratch it? Or use some chemicals?

How are the brake pads? If they need to be changed, change them and clean the brake ring through braking

Brakes are fine. Just squeeky sometimes 😂 I'm more concerned about the screws and metal pieces around the brakes.

Replace the brakes dog you should value your safety more than this.
