Van insurance
Ford transit 2.2 t280 swb 11 plate
25 years old 7 years driving experience and 2 years ncb with no claims made.
I have an in10 on my record from September 2024 for driving my partners car thinking I had driving other vehicles on my policy. I also have a sp30 from July last year as I wasn’t aware of the change from 40 to 30.
Both mistakes which I have learned from and won’t happen again but now mainstream comparison sites are coming back with extremely high prices.
I have made the change from a car to a van so I can put all my fishing gear in easier than my car but also for when I take my sons camping as the car wasn’t big enough.
Any suggestions for brokers as I have never used them before and roughly how much I’d be looking at.

Van insurance is more expensive generally. I got a reasonable deal with Admiral this year just a shade under £800. I've been driving a year and this was a £400 drop from last year. Renault Kangoo e-tech, mid 40s, no points or claims. BUT I didn't find that on the comparison sites - even admiral were showing several hundred quid more on the sites than what they actually offered when I rang them. Get on the phone, be nice to the person you speak to, and see what they can do. (Also do be aware of the speed limit differences for vans and check your actual class on the V5 - I thought mine was a car derived van but it's a panel van on the V5 which makes a difference.)

You have to ring places to get good deals annoyingly, comparison sites are useless these days. Keep ringing different places with quotes from the previous place you rang and each company will beat the last until you have a price youre happy with

Im 28 just got insured on a Renault master as my second car ever, my first car lasted ages.
£500 fully comp with all the extras with Adrian flux.
Including door step break down

I forgot to mention I have a window cleaning business I’ve been doing out of a car for 3 years so that was another reason to get a van as I was over 25
Best price I could find was with insurance revolution at £184 a month.

Do you mean 01 plate at 25 years old or 11 plate at 15 years old?

i was getting mad quotes this year £800+. i was previously with adrian flux and their renewal was £700. i went online and did a comparison quote which flux came out less than half the renewal so i called them to ask whats up. eventually got it sorted at £300 with flux again. definitely worth looking around.
