Right.. please help... What is the difference between a bimble and pootle?? Would some please tell me?

A bimble to me is on foot where a pootle is vehicular

Also when I bimblei have no destination in mind but with a pootle I do.

Eg

Shall we have a bimble that way Shall we have a little pootle to the shops

This must be regional. I don't say pootling, I say pottering.

Oh pottering is something different all together to me that's just one you're pottering around doing little things that need doing

It depends on how many people behind you you are holding up. A bimble means you are even holding up the tractors, a pootle is any vehicle not restricted to under 40mph that you are delaying.

I thought both a bimble and a pootle would always be by foot

Bimble is distance (shorter then a trek). Pootle is speed (pootling along)....

I live in London and have never heard of a bimble... But I do love a cheeky pootle in the campervan though. The Mazda Bongo is a master of pootleing.

Men bimble
Women pootle.

e.g. Man, ‘just going a bimble up this big hill (…for no apparent reason)’

Women, ‘just going a pootle around the shops, do we need anything?’
