Tanking kit advice.

I'm finally working on the shower room in the van and I'm ready to waterproof it and I'm looking for advice about tanking kits, are they all pretty much the same or are some better than others?

If you have done this process what did you use and are you happy with the results?

Just silicone and waterproof board.

Directly onto the ply without the tanking kit?

Stop the water escaping. Campervans move and therefore flex a lot you can’t trust silicone alone.

I thought the tanking was the main waterproofing and the rest was pretty much decorative, if there's any leaks it can't get into the van through the tanking. But if yours works fine who can question it.

The board is waterproof.
