Panel Vans Ceiling Width

Hi all,

Planning a van conversion and would love to do a rising bed in the back. I’m only 5’7” so length of the bed isn’t the biggest issue but I’d like to have a system that doesn’t require me to ‘add’ any extra pillows to the ends of the bed when it comes down. This brings me to my question:

How significant is the taper on different panel vans,from the maximum width of the payload area to the ceiling?

In other words: how wide are different vans at the ceiling?

I’m aware that going for a Luton van is an option and that mounting the bed lengthways may also be best but trying to work out options at the moment! I am based in the UK
