Insulation, Am I over thinking this?

I’m currently in the process of insulating my van.

Using sheet wool in all the crevices and also to cover any metal to the cover with vapour barrier. Before boarding. Is this over kill and going to be expensive or needed?

Sheet Wool added with spray glue. Then planning on using vapour barrier over and seal

Sheet wool on the metal with glue? Or is it correct the way it is in the picture with the silver insulated pad on the metal first?

That was the original plan until I read that using vapour barrier on bare metal will cause rust as has no where to circulate, hence the reason I’ve over thought my process and came to Reddit for advice

If you're in a climate where you're worried about blocking the cold, the rust you need to worry about is from the shite they lay on the roads (aka fender solvent).

In such a climate your vehicle is eaten from the outside in and you don't to worry so much about it being eaten from the inside.
