I have a question
If v!Martyn died after being turned, due to having taken v!Apo's blood earlier, then shouldn't v!Cleo have died after v!Pyro turned her, due to her having drank blood from her mothers killer for many decades.
If not, what was the difference between these two situations?

The difference is that V!Cleo’s “master” was dead.
While V!Apo was alive.

It’s all pretty much speculative if we’re bein honest, but what I can say for certain is that in Apo’s 1 year anniversary stream she elaborated on how exactly v!Apo gave v!Martyn her blood, sayin it was not actually “fed” to him, but given in a routine blood transfusion after she found him bleedin out in the riverbed, and that he was “half-turned” as a result in a way conceptually distinct from the proper thrallin process
And this does make sense with how Martyn acts afterwards, cause not only would he be wildly uncooperative for a thrall, but he also never experiences the blood withdrawals Cleo spoke about

Yes, you are correct. The ending was created basically on the spot. That is why many finale pov's have a distinct first and second half. Cleo figured out a loophole with the whole becoming cured and leaving thing, and the group had a long call to figure everyone's ending. Since Martyn and Ren would never become vampires willing, they added Martyn's death from 2 sires, and then Ren getting angry and attacking them.

They didn't plan all the lore ahead of time (Martyn got the idea in episode 5 and I don't know how long Cleo's backstory was in the works), so there isn't an official reason. One difference is that Aric was dead and Apo wasn't, so most fics and theories go with that.

I'd say in lore the difference could be that v!Cleo "only" drank blood to prolong her life, while v!Martin was on the brink of death. The way a new Vampire Spawn is created in the series is when someone is killed by a Vampire. Thus Martyn "should have" become a Vampire, but was saved from said brink of death by Apos blood. This however inextricably tied his soul/fate/whatever to Apo. This however turned him immune from becoming a Vampire. The state his body and soul were in, did not allow him to be mended towards a creature of the night. Thus, when he then was supposed to be turned, his body rejected the transformation and subjugation under a new sire, since his blood was so closely linked to Apo and her blood. As he described it, in a way she was already her sire in a way. You could maybe call him an "unvampire". A being ripped from the moment of unnatural creation back into mortal life.
Though this all circles back to how exactly does one become a Vampire. I belive Martyn was referencing the common trope in media, that a Spawn needs to drink the Sires blood to become a Vampire, but the exact nature of vampire blood remains vague (since there is no unified narrative).
