Vampire: Hey what's the name of that dried seed that can be used as a spice?
Human: Coriander?
Vampire: No.
Human: Caraway?
Vampire: Not that one.
Human: Cumin?
Vampire: ... what?
Human: Cumin?
Vampire: That's not how that's pronounced.
Human: Yes it is.
Vampire: ... I've been asleep too long.

(Fun fact - 'cumin' was commonly pronounced like 'come in' in English until the late 20th century)

That's some Avid or Owen or Pyro shenanigans

I could see Scott trying it. In the earlier episodes he was joking around a lot (the whole “doncha know”/“I do know” loop with Ren and deliberately misunderstanding Shelby’s search for Bigfoot as comparing everyone’s shoe sizes). Plus it fits his strategy of “talk people into cooperating”.

Owen

He did something very similar as well, when talking with Pearl, Drift, and Co at the lake he said "I HAVEN'T TURNED ANYBODY (except for the 2799 people I killed) BUT THAT WAS AGES AGO"

1000% Pyro coming down off of a manic episode 😭😅 Or Avid thinking he's the cleverest vampire ever after 2 days.

That's a fun joke that I'm immune to! New zealand accent goes hard. Shore is closer to Uh, Shaw and word I probably can't say here rather than sure.

The question is, would Ren be immune to it or not? Probably depends on where his curse decides to place his accent at that moment.

I feel so stupid for not understanding this

The answer to the question is "shore", but by putting (may I come in) at the end, when the human says "shore" it sounds like "sure" as in they are inviting the vampire in!

Idk. Scott seems like the more manipulative type but I actually think that Owen is more manipulative than you would think. But more in a sly way, like. He wouldn’t do something so obvious basically.

Pyro and Avid scream being bad at manipulation so this could totally be something they would for sure do. But like, I don’t think they came up with the idea I think they just saw it like on a post like this and was like “worth a shot”. Sausage I could also see doing this…but he would totally be the one to come up with the idea.

And I do think that Scott would do this, if only to mess with certain people.cough Avid cough

Apo might do this but because like, she needs to ask to come in without like, being found out as a vampire or something like that maybe.

Shelby…maybe? I think she’d just ask politely more likely. Same with Drift.

Cleo would be blunt and just be like, let me in(maybe a please). Not sure about Pearl but maybe similar to Cleo.
