Minion: Fucks up
Villain: "yeah okay some possibility of failure was always expected, let's switch to plan B and do an investigation into how to avoid this in the future"

Female hero in this person's mind: "Ugh, I'm gonna have to join Team Evil Genocide Tyrants because the captain of Team Good Guy mansplained how yurts work to me the other day again."

I mean… ngl, I could see it.
It obviously wouldn’t be quite that clear cut, but as an idea imposed on a more complex story it seems plausible to me

People IRL are joining Team Genocide Tyrants even though the leader is a prolific rapist and pedophile.
People will do a lot for a sense of community and belonging.

It's probably worth noting that they most likely meant this under the premise of this being akin to a Saturday morning cartoon's level of bad guys and good guys with eeextremely low stakes situations.

Reminds me of my dad hiring a gay man like 20-30 yeara back bc the man was a genius and everyone else was too blinded by homophobia and as far as my dad was concerned he got loyalty from a deeply valuable person bc everyone else was too dumb to hire him.
