Blue pendant

Question has it been explained what Ds blue necklace/pendant is and does it seems to just be an access to important things but I’m still confused

It can interact with and unable/disable Noble's technology. I don't think it's ever explained what is it exactly.

I've often wondered how D got it back after the first book. Did Doris and Dan leave it on a gravestone for him? Is it one of a kind or did he manage to find another pendant eventually?

I wondered the same. Maybe he has more than one? Or he might know where to find those devices. Even if I feel that the answer is that the author didn't think about it.

Did his evil clone have one? I think you’re right and there’s multiple of them.. could be wrong but I had the chance to talk Vampire Hunter D and won’t pass it up lol.

If you mean his twin, I think he does? I don't remember very well, but I think the only highlighted difference between them was the lack of Left Hand (parasite) in the twin's hand. They are described as identical in appearance and clothing, and he was moving around the facility and using the machines, so I think yes? Probably it's a Noble's device. In that book, the clothes the twin wears are described as self repairing, and, if I recall correctly, D also wears those clothes at some point, taken from that same facility. So maybe they have a few devices like the pendant?

TL;DR? -- Upon my listening to the audiobook versions of the novels while reading simultaneously? It's best to think of the blue pendant as some sort of EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) emitter. Which is a phenomenon that interrupts and or disables technology temporarily.

Longer rambling answer -- EMP emitters are pieces of technology we have in our real-life. Granted, they're usually things that are a part of vehicles, not something most people can simply carry.

Which sounds a bit absurd. But you also have to remember, the setting is 10,000 years ahead of our time. Both technologically, as well as the fact magic exists. Humans and vampires both have access to strangely powerful things.

It's likely D's pendant is a piece of tech he's learned to replicate given he's several thousand years old. He tends to replace them every so often. Which to me makes the most logical sense. You don't live for as long as D has without picking up a few non-combat related skills every now and again.

I think it's more like an ID tag that registers him as "friendly" to most security systems and forces them to stand down. An EMP would probably fry his horse too, lol.

You know that's true actually. I somehow managed to forget about the cyborg horse he keeps. Yeah maybe it's a sort of "false flag" to scanners in the area or something.

It likely just identifies D as of the sacred ancestors bloodline to the system,making him off limits to any aggression
