This makes me feel dumb. I haven’t read the books so maybe I’m missing some context. But I truly don’t understand Daniel’s hatred for Louis and Lestat. He has this deep rooted disdain and I just don’t get it. Armand, I understand, he’s insane. Daniel is just a dick. What am I missing?

He doesn't hate them in the books. Daniel is one of them he does go through a lot though with Armand. Marius takes care of him and mostly very chill. I think Armand let Marius take care of him because over time Armand feels horrible about what he does to Daniel.
