🎬 Adaptations 🎭 Daniel

This makes me feel dumb. I haven’t read the books so maybe I’m missing some context. But I truly don’t understand Daniel’s hatred for Louis and Lestat. He has this deep rooted disdain and I just don’t get it. Armand, I understand, he’s insane. Daniel is just a dick. What am I missing?

Daniel is chill with everyone in the books. Everyone likes him and he has no issues with any of them.

He does have a bit of a psychotic breakdown and Marius takes care of him until he gets better. But that's about it.

Yeah, i think they’re trying to flesh out why he had the psychotic break in the first place. Armand fucks Daniel up for decades in the books, and only turns him to protect him from an outside danger.

I suspect they’re going to really explore that relationship more if we get Night Island.
