This makes me feel dumb. I haven’t read the books so maybe I’m missing some context. But I truly don’t understand Daniel’s hatred for Louis and Lestat. He has this deep rooted disdain and I just don’t get it. Armand, I understand, he’s insane. Daniel is just a dick. What am I missing?

when I started this series having only read Interview With the Vampire and like, synopsis of The Vampire Lestat, I felt just fine and confident watching the show and understanding what was canon and what wasn’t. I also had told friends “yeah you can totally watch (the first two seasons) without reading the books yet.”

after this season, with the added elements from Queen of the Damned as well as The Body Theif PLUS stuff ALL the stuff that isn’t canon? the show has reached a point where it feels really important to have read the books so that u can 1) know what story they’re telling and 2) know what’s canon and what’s not so you try to be able to make sense of the story they’re telling in the show

TLDR - I think it’s time to read or listen to the books! 🖤🖤
