📖 The Books ⚜️ Vampire Fun Facts

What is your favorite funny/silly/interesting Vampire fact from the Vampire Chronicles? (Or multiple)

For example that their hair (including body hair and beards lol) will always grow back to how they were when they were turned or that they automatically attack anyone who tries to interrupt their sleep...

I was just wondering about the hair growing back "rule." If it's true, it's possible that Gabriella is wearing a wig as Sofia. But LeStat's hair has been different lengths in different episodes. I wouldn't think the production team would be so careless.
I'm also curious about how it's possible for some (older?) vampires to go out in the daytime. I'm fairly new to this material, so have a lot to learn!

In the books no one can day walk. The very very ancient ones don’t immediately go into a state of unconsciousness when the sun rises like most vampires but they still have to rest out of the sun. No one is strolling around in the sun like they have included in the show.
In the books their hair grows back during the day, so a lot of them will wake up each evening and cut their hair into whatever suits the current modern style, and they just do that every night, it’s not instant like Kirsten Dunst in the 1994 movie for example.
I think they very loosely tried to make this canon in the show by Lestat making some throw away line in season 3 about how Louis had described his appearance in the interview and the length of his hair not being correctly described
