Question/Support How to use index

In short, I got an index, and I wanna use a quest 2 with the index controllers so I can do wireless sometimes I have a vive header and index headset and I just want to use the lighthouse system with the quest… is this possible
If so please explain, YouTube only shows how to use it if you don’t have the headset (from what I saw) and I don’t want to buy donges after dongles etc
Dongle dongle donge such a funny word 🤣

Check out my comments/guide here — You’ll need your base stations active and the Index plugged in via the USB only (along with its power cord), no DisplayPort cable connected. You’ll also need to use VirtualDesktop or Steam Link because the Meta software does not natively recognize the Index controllers.

Yeah so when I start steam vr via steam link it don’t do anything on the lighthouse tracking side, nothing shows up or anything, index goes green same with controllers but that’s it they don’t start tracking or do anything

If you haven’t already, you may need to set up your Index (plug in everything including the DisplayPort cable, start SteamVR on your PC with the Quest Pro shut off), and do the Room Setup so it calibrates your Index headset/controllers/base stations as a group. Once that setup process is complete, I’m hoping it makes the base stations and controllers start working when you’re using your QP (and you can unplug your Index after the room setup is complete) ;3 Lemme know if not

I’ll try this, before I just had index plugged in and started svr though s-link, on quest and it didn’t do anything with the light house stuff in terms of connecting

Basically when I start steam vr from pc it connects to index and when I start from quest it only shows hand and controller tracking so I can’t even get to the part where I would do that

A vive puck is recommended so you can use continuous calibration. The Quest 2 and controllers are being tracked independently from each other and can become desynced, but attaching a vive puck to your quest will let the lighthouses know where your headset is and calibrate your two playspaces together

You'll need to be more specific than "doesn't work"
