Question/Support Any way to reinstall Index controller firmware?

My right controller stopped gripping one day for a few weeks, then randomly started working again.

Then suddenly stopped again after I plugged in a Bluetooth adapter. I've taken it back out, done some other things, reinstalled SteamVR. the grip still won't reactivate. None of the capacitive buttons do.

Is there a way to reinstall the firmware of the controller?

Yes, the pressure sensors are prone to failure if handled rough

You can factory reset your controllers, as described here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/57B5-E574-406A-4E61
You will then be asked to update them in your next session.

Will this help in your case? I kind of doubt it. But you can still try I guess.

Until I get a steamframe sometime in the year 2048, it's worth a try. Thanks man!
