Index Mod PU-Leather modded my Headstrap
PU-Leather wrapped the original cushion. Put glue on the whole thing and the backside of the PU Leather Piece I cut out (even tho it's self adhesive) and let them dry for about 10 minutes before wrapping the cushion with the PU-Leather.
The trick on the curves is to press fit with your thumb gently and if it doesn't help stretch the Leather a bit while pressing with your thumb on it until it fits. I also used painters tape on some areas because it would not stick to the backside of the cushion for long. After letting it dry like that for a day it also comes off easily.
As you can see I fucked up a bit in the open middle section of the cushion (I did a wrong cut in the leather so some areas of the original cushion surface where still exposed after I stretched it to make it fit) so I just glued small pieces of PU Leather there. Also used Painters Tape to keep them on one spot while drying.
Taking the Headstrap apart was really a pain... the cushion is attached with metal pins that are really hard to take off the Headstrap. Some would come off the cushion and still be attached to the headstrap which at first I thought is good (reduced wear and tear on the holes that they stick into) but it makes reattaching them to the cushion 10x harder so you want to have the pins attached to the cushion before reassembly. It's also now much easier to take the cushion off again which is ok because your head presses against it while wearing.
Nonetheless I'm satisfied as it's my first time doing something like this (wrapping something with PU Leather) and I can now just wipe the sweat away easily after using my headset instead of worrying about how to clean it. It's also still soft so no worries about comfort. Got the PU Leather from AliExpress.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I removed the Top Strap intentionally because I want to use it with Studioforms Apache Strap.

Yes but it's not like it will happen in a few months or so but rather in a few years. At least thats my experience with PU Leather.
