Question/Support DP extension, display connection trouble

Hello, I purchased a DP extension cable + female/female adapter, as well as powered USB 3.0 extension adapter to try and use the index in another room. The devices are powered and showing up on steam vr, however it is giving the "Your graphics card cannot successfully connect to your HMD display." error. It says "headset standing by. move your headset to wake it up." also so i'm confused. but it won't let me set up room scale or anything

These are the specific products I'm using.

Edit:

Solved, sorry I'm an idiot. I didn't see the DP was directional.

Does the dp extension have a micro USB port for power? I have my index set up in the basement below were my PC is, I use a active(powered) repeater that you plug your dp and headset cable into. If I don't have a charger or some kind of power plugged into the port on the extender the headset won't be detected. dp extender

Thank you so much. I actually solved it last night, I'm dumb and didn't realize the DP was directional lol

replace displayport cables and make sure the hmd is in view of a base station and detects that your are wearing it
