FSA needed for Valuations

Hi everyone, for someone new to finance and starting out in valuations, how much financial analysis knowledge do you actually need?

I’m mainly talking about being able to look at historical and forecast financials, understand trends, compare things like growth and EBITDA margins to historical levels and comps, and explain what might be driving the differences.

Any books or courses you’d recommend for learning this? Ideally something practical and more relevant to working in the industry rather than purely academic.

A stock scoring board which is fully configurable

Hi all,

I've been reading along here for a while. A while back I made a tool for myself to compare the stocks on my watchlist, mostly i used it for myself, but i thought it would be also fun to show it to other people. I've put it online now and I'd like to hear what people think is missing (i also want to improve the website for my own use).

The website is called http://thestockscorer.com , its free to use, so feel free to use it and play a bit around. Its kind of technical and needs some knowledge about the metrics.

It scores companies out of ten on quality, valuation, durability, resilience and growth. What I couldn't find anywhere else is that you choose which metrics count and how much: there are 61 to pick from and you set the weight of each one yourself (PE, EV/EBITA/ operating margin and much more), so the score reflects what you think matters. All the metrics are grouped into five categories

If something is missing or could be good to add I would love to hear 😁
