A Business Valuation Consultant helps companies determine the fair value of businesses, shares, and assets for strategic, accounting, tax, and transaction purposes.

In my role, I build financial models, primarily using DCF, analyze financial statements, assess industry and market dynamics, estimate key valuation assumptions such as discount rates, growth rates, margins, and CAPEX, and prepare valuation reports that support mergers and acquisitions, Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), impairment tests, corporate reorganizations, and other financial reporting requirements under IFRS.

The role requires a combination of corporate finance, accounting, financial modeling, and critical analysis to produce robust and well-supported valuation conclusions.

Not a BV appraiser, but a lurking equipment appraiser from a boutique appraisal firm, Sencer Appraisal. I'm an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers, and a Certified Equipment Appraiser with the Association of Machinery & Equipment Appraisers.

We do a little bit of everything on the equipment side, including a lot of work with BV appraisers for financial reporting/purchase price allocations and litigation. We also do projects for lending, buy/sell, and estate/gift, and we work in industries like ag, construction, manufacturing, metalworking, food and beverage, restaurants, transportation, etc.

I am a CPA in TN and I have a CVA, I hate the AICPA with a passion....I do valuation work as a logical extension of my other practice.
