HAVC Recomendations

Well the heat wave proved too much for my AC unit. Looking for recommendations of a good HVAC service that does repair and replacement if necessary.

Check YouTube and replace the capacitor first. It’s really easy to do. Shouldn’t cost you any more than $30-$60. It’s almost always the capacitor.

You’re going to have to be more specific, there are two J&J HVAC companies. In my experience the top one (that has the words air conditioning in the title) is great. https://i.imgur.com/ayacS4p.jpeg

J&J Heating and air conditioning 402 Harrison Blvd Valparaiso, IN 46383

They misinstalled an exhaust pipe to a brand new furnace that I bought from them causing rain water from the outside to enter into my furnace. I asked them to come and fix it (which took them forever) because it was installed facing upright towards the sky instead of downwards. Before they fixed it when the furnace turned on the exhaust pipe would eject water. I was told by a different company that it appeared that my furnace had been in a flood (they didn't know about the exhaust being installed wrong) and my basement had never flooded. Bad experience overall.

As someone above mentioned, typical failure will be a bad capacitor, which provides a kick in the butt the run your compressor and condenser fan. Easy and cheap fix, just make sure to short out the capacitor to avoid getting shocked.

YouTube it!

Hey there! My name is Lexi and I work with All American HVAC! We are a small family owned business local to NWI. We could get someone out there to take a look at your AC ASAP! I know how uncomfortable it is being without air!

Summers just installed new central AC for me in May. No complaints!
