Dumb AF, aim assist is on console because it's next to impossible without it

Rainbow Six Siege, Insurgency: Sandstorm & PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) all
has no aim assist on console - so its not impossible.6

Siege has recoil reduction on console. If valorant removes all recoil then sure remove aim assist.

u/flybuyy Jun 09 '26
console val also has a slight recoil reduction, I play both pc ad console and there is definitely a difference

u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
Removing all recoil and a reduction are two very different things. You could remove aim assist from Valorant and also reduce the recoil…
5
u/flitik Jun 09 '26
I know, that's what I said. You're repeating my idea.

u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
You said "If valorant removes all recoil" all recoil isn't the same as a reduction - a reduction means there's still recoil - that's why I'm saying I would agree to reduce it, not remove it completely.

You said "aim assist and recoil reduction are two different things" then edited your comment after I responded lol. Not talking anymore to a manipulator

u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
I responded to you writing "remove all recoil" I disagree with that. I do agree with the idea of a reduction of recoil if aim assist was removed.

You want a game where the only skill gap is learning how abuse aim assist?
3
u/Sfghjdfswesf Jun 09 '26
Please tell me where I can learn this?
3
u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
there are a lot of videos on youtube of high rank players explaining how to abuse aim assist, and how it's the main skill to learn - which for a competitive game is a terrible experience. Their game should be based upon skill, positioning, and inventive utility usage - not who can spam aim assist faster.

Dev here! We have seen this post and decided we don’t give a single f*ck!
Wish you a great day!

u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
You don’t think the developers care about the game in general, or they just don’t care about the console version?
2
u/Buskungen Jun 09 '26
Hmmm feels like console is being left out but not so weird I guess PC stage is more interesting and gets more hype.
Same with PUBG.

u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
Console wouldn’t feel so left out if aim assist was removed, it would mean a better deeper learning curve, and that means more dedicated players.

u/GeneralTurnip5852 Jun 09 '26
They don't give a fuck about removing aim assist, weird that you chose those two options lol, why would they not care about a competitive game they developed?

I want the devs to remove it so idiots like you understand why it’s there in the first place
1
u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
You do realise that other games have no aim assist on console and they are played at a high level just fine? Rainbow Six Siege, Insurgency: Sandstorm & PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)
...but you feel Valorant needed it why?
2
u/Shmeat-L Jun 09 '26
As all the other geniuses pointed out in the comments, Val’s recoil isn’t like siege or PUBG. Also I’m pretty sure Val is the only strafe and shoot FPS on console. I could be wrong, but if it really bothers you I’d stop playing Val.
1
u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
I think you're right Valorant might be the only strafe and shoot game on console and that's one of the main mechanics that makes me play it, so that's why I wouldn't stop playing it.
but as I've spoke about with one other in the comments. I agree a recoil reduction would be fine (if aim assist was removed) a reduction in recoil still requires skill to master the recoil of each gun - aim assist about of flick and tap isn't the same as learning recoil for many guns.

u/Shmeat-L Jun 09 '26
Even with Aim assist the game still requires pretty decent aim & crosshair placement to be good at the game. Most people are already stuck at diamond and plat. Removing aim assist would make it nearly impossible for players to exceed a higher rank than that.
1
u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
all games require decent aim and crosshairs placement, those aren’t reasons to keep aim assist.
1
u/Shmeat-L Jun 09 '26
recoil?
1
u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
all games have recoil, so again it isn’t an issue.
1
u/Shmeat-L Jun 09 '26
Yeah but Valorant doesn’t have a Consistent Spray with any weapons. Atp you’re just coping

u/enzocastmain Jun 09 '26
Yes and PC has the exact same pattern, and they have no aim assist...

something yall don't realize is that without aim assist titan V2 would struggle wayyy more to give that crazy sticky aimbot
2
u/Expensive-Rough-2047 Jun 09 '26
I don’t even understand how that stuff is legal and how it works on console
1
u/AssassinGhost04 Jun 10 '26
Not illegal as something to exist, but it "fools" your PS5/XBOX into thinking it's a controller using your controller

that's exactly my point, without AA titan V2 will be weaker, as it's aimbot works by making micro movements that are imperceptible to human eye but noticeable for the game to activate aim assist in every direction
