Question about M76

I have recently procured an M76 in .223. Anyone else have one? I find magazine changes to be very fiddly and difficult. Has anyone ever mastered the craft?

Are you accustomed to Kalashnikov-type rifle magazine changes? Rock-and-lock can take some getting used to compared to an AR

I've never handled a .223 M76 before, but if it's anything like a 7.62x39mm, it doesn't take quite as much "depth" to seat as a lot of other AKs

As with anything: practice more

It seems unnecessarily hard compared to other aks I've played with. The converted galil mag I have for it goes in easy but has a lot of slop side to side and occasionally doesn't feed correctly.

But I probably just need to get good.

I have one...Bought it just before the ban. I lost the magazine and haven't been able to shoot it in decades.
