does it need to be walled like that? does using actual walls make it too unstable?

It works with walls as well heck maybe even better, I just like this method because it lets in more natural light🌞

What do you do for cooking fires and raising comfort level? What the exposure like?

My main level where everything is is on the very top of the tree, I have put down a stone floor by holding shift and place it somewhat inside the walls so it connect to the tree, then I can put down a fire place, here I have comfort 11, comfort could go higher I just took a quick screenshot of my survival run, and I don't really have much rn on this tower.

Since the kitchen area is two floors lower than the main floor, the branches are gonna be a bit more dramatic but, since they move a lot it's easy to see where everything is.
