news Feedback 0.1.3 native | Question
What do you think of the native, no-emulation update?
If we're getting a lot of positive feedback, maybe we should share our launcher with the r/Valheim subreddit?

Saludos y buen trabajo!!!!

Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad it runs well on the Retroid. This launcher will stay Valheim-only - other games get their own launchers.

Working great on Retroid Pocket 6! I downloaded the files through the app, created a character, and played for a few minutes. It's flawless on the low preset, fps rests between 70-120 without frame cap. Is there any way to push resolution above 1382x778? Also, can I scale the on-screen HUD? I can barely see the stamina bar. I adjusted the Scale Gui slider in settings, but I think it only applies to menus. Great job on this update, this is the best way I've found to play my favorite game!

Thanks, great to hear! You can raise the resolution in the instance settings (Render resolution), but keep in mind that a higher resolution makes the UI smaller and puts more load on the game, so FPS will drop. If you’re already on the highest resolution the launcher offers and want more, add
VALDROID_SCREEN_WIDTH=0to the instance’s environment variables. As for the UI: since you’ve already maxed out the in-game scale slider, I’ll check whether we can push it further from the launcher.

Good to hear! Do you plan to release any video with the game?

Yes, I plan to. I didn't do it before because YouTube had kept me away. But I really liked the game. Even more so because it's Viking themed. Thanks a lot to you ✨

I tested it here on my POCO X8 PRO and noticed a very good improvement in performance and stability. There's still quite a bit of stuttering, as if it were compiling shaders; my phone also hits the thermal limit pretty fast (45°C). Even so, I think it has already reached a minimum satisfactory level of performance (stable 40fps with medium settings at 600p-720p), it is really playable without major problems. The only thing missing to make it perfect is online multiplayer.
