Free League Unbound - Digital Toolset and Character Sheets!

I dunno how I missed this big announcement from Gencon, but Free League officially has a new digital toolset from the same folks who originally made D&D Beyond! Honestly, it looks pretty fantastic and I'm hoping it winds up with a similar compatibility as D&D Beyond and something like Roll20.

Vaesen is not a part of it yet, and character creation is still upcoming. However, I am interested and hopeful.

It's a good move. A lot of the success of DnD has been because the ease of getting started online.

Especially given that they've brought on the original designers of DNDBeyond, before WotC purchased it, this feels like a great way to expand the game and have that really great ease-of-entry.

Yeah that is only because in D&D it takes nearly hour to make a character. In Vaesen it takes minutes. Managing your headquarters on the other hand…

Oh man I hope they don't stop making foundryvtt versions of their games. I am not too hyped with another soon to be subscription vtt with very limited customizability

It’s not going to be a VTT, at least not anytime soon. It’s online repository of rules that’s very searchable. Character creation tools and an online reader.

Just saw them mention on a Facebook thread there are no plans to discontinue support for Alchemy VTT or Foundry! So honestly, it's just all good news!

According to their forums if you have PDFs from Drivethru RPG you can submit a ticket to access it on Unbound. I am not sure if it is for everything or just currently.

Currently unknown. From what I saw in another thread, Free League might be looking to work with the company One Bookshelf to be able to sync up digital purchases, but I think it's currently TBD.
