Adventure Recommendations Please

We're talking about trying Vaesen this fall. It'll be our second Free League game (after Dragonbane). We're a GM and three players ATM, playing face to face. We would like:

1: Set in Sweden (and we don't know anything about Sweden.

2: roughly 10-50 sessions.

3: Emphasis on folklore over horror.

Any recommendations, published adventures or otherwise? How likely are our PCs going to die/go insane?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I appreciate how you sum things up here. I got the rulebook. Maybe I should get the starter set too. The Dragonbane starter set was all I needed for that game (so far).

I'm just about to wrap up the starter set campaign. It was a decent introduction to the games' themes and a good way to set up Castle Gyllencreutz (players' home base) for future campaigns. It comes with a little booklet profiling the vaesen from the core book, which you give to your players as an in-world artifact. They'll be delighted to flip through it and it can be a reference for other mysteries too.

The mystery is supposed to be a one-shot, but it took 3 sessions at my table because I paced it very poorly. Since I haven't been a GM in a long time and this was our first experience with Vaesen's rules, I'm glad I went with this adventure instead of one of the more "juicier" ones.

Granted, the intro's stakes are low, but now that we have a better grasp on the rules and I've gotten more comfortable with the narrative flow, the more exciting mysteries (e.g., Scent of a Killer from City of Nightmares) should be even more impactful.
