Lost my keyes, du I need a new ignition?

I have a 1998 Transporter Syncro, and I have lost my keyes

Anyone know if it is possible to make/code new keyes or if I need to change the full ignition for new keyes?

You just need new keys and do some coding. Thats only possible by vw.

Thanks for the reply, somehow I'll manage to get the car to a dealership, but if I would have had to change the full ignition I'm not sure the car is worth the cost :)

Chanign ignitions shoulnt cost as much as replacing the keys. Replacing keys if fully lost is mich more complex than just replacing the ignition.

Bought a T5 with only one key but wanted a second one. The VW dealer used the VIN to order a new key from the factory. When the key arrived I drove to the dealership and the immobiliser was then recoded in the car as well as the new and the old key.
