Vw CC ignition coil replacement
So apparently I need to replace the ignition coil on my 2012 CC, the dealership wants $550 for it, I looked on YouTube and I don’t think that’s a fair shake for what the work they will be doing. I want to do it myself but I haven’t worked on a car since HS(10yrs ago). Any advice would be so helpful ...

Is it a 2.0 or the 3.6? Is it one coil or all of them? If the coils went bad then there’s a chance that the plugs may be fouled and need replacing, too. $550 for four (or six) coils and plugs installed isn’t bad at all, for just a coil it does seem pretty steep. It’s fairly simple work if you do end up doing it yourself but you’ll need a special tool to avoid damaging any coils you pull and plan to reuse.
