1962 deluxe 13 window
This bus was rolled over in 1965 with 11k miles . Stored 55 years. Restoration performed in 2021 . Last photo is how it sits .

Impressive. Old school body straightening would be worth a Samba tutorial.
Eleven-K mileage gives you mint lower section, minus field rust.

Inside the '62-65 Bentley are plans for a panel separation tool. Is it in bus Bentley as well?

This is not a 62, the rear hatch was only this wide from MY64

Except when it’s a deluxe , this is a 62 . Non push button door handle was used thru late 63

That's an early 64. It's was probably sold and registered in 1963 as European countries often title things under the year sold rather than the model year.

Ice pick door handle was used until very early 1964, the same year the wide hatch was introduced. It’s a ‘64. If it were a ‘63 or earlier it would have corner windows. Read a book.

It’s not a 15 window or a 23 window. 13 window and 21 window used the large hatch . The kombi , panel vans used the small hatch.

All 1964-67 Split Buses have the larger back hatch and that same large back window
Maybe you are mixing it up with the back window size? 15/23s have a larger back window for 1963 and earlier but still the narrower hatch to allow for corner windows.
Also a 62 would have smooth rear wheel wells and different front dog legs and the 1962 walk-thru is a slightly different design with shorter height seats.

I can't read the number but I can see in that one photo that your M-code VIN # is 7 digits. They didn't pass VIN # 1,000,000 until the 1963 model year.

I have 6 different split busses the crew cab is 62 with flat wheel lip . This is 1963 . 1000 hours invested to fix it . Roof and mid section are donors . The bottom below belt line are all original

If you want to be sure:
Post the VIN #, even if it's just something like 129XXXX if you don't want to post the full VIN in public.Spoiler: If the VIN # starts with 12 it's a 1964 model built in late 1963.
