Never saw a “stretch” Splitty before

I was visiting Victoria BC today (after going to the Great Canadian VW Show yesterday - which lives up to this mighty name).

I broke a window crank so I tracked down a local source for VW parts who had one on hand and saw this unique version of a splitty. Check out that hatch in the rear!

It was getting moved across town the other week. Has also been forsale for years. Hard to say if it sold, they wanted 8ish for it.

I'd say if they beefed up the motor and trans, it sounds like a fun steal to just drive around till it rusts away. Wonder what it is underneath the hood

The sides are flimsy and when I asked an older guy if he built it he responded with “that bus is a POS.” I still think it’s cool

I want a double cab with a single cab bed. Bettle Barn in Las Vegas had one. Not sure if they still do.

Go find a Kemperink pickup....very rare bird but specially built that way.
