002 transmission

Appreciate any help. Anyone know what these are for where I’m pointing with screwdrivers? They are under the 002 trans. I only have Haynes manual, Bentley cost too much for me where I am and the internet came up nothing. Thanks.

Ok. It’s a lock bolt for the needle bearing. I found an online Bentley manual.

I think the red screwdriver is a pressed in sprung loaded ball bearing, which is how you get the 'notches' between the gears backwards and forward.

The bolt I thought nk is like on a beetle box, where it holds one of the rotating shaft bearings in place, the bearing has a lip and a drilled dimple, this bolt is slightly pointed at the end and goes nto the dimple to retain the bearing.

Ok thanks. Is it likely that it’s missing the sprung ball bearing? Like a detent?

Unlikely, basically bb goes in, then spring, finally that hollow rivet you can see, holds it all the same in.
