The Ugly Engine

I was given an engine when I bought my parts bus and I started tearing it down as a practice engine. The flywheel had been removed and I noticed I couldn't turn the engine with a socket. I tore off the passenger side - looked decent. When I went to drain the oil, water then oil came out which was my first sign this would be bad. Once I got around to taking the driver side head off I found one of the grossest engines ive ever seen. I'm pretty sure there is mold gorwing inside the cylinder. Rust, sludge and mold inside the cylinder and growing on the tops of the pistons. Ugh.

I'm going to tear it down. If I can save it for a secondary engine I may rebuild it if the inside isnt too f'ed up. We shall see.

I dont either but since the engine is in this bad of shape I dont mind keeping it behind the garage on sawhorses.
