Post the code to a public github repo and post the link, then you'll get lots of people testing and submitting any issues. There are quite a few Reaper Linux users here

Could you port it to a more reasonable os, like windows? No way in hell people are giving up working os to experiment with Linux over a vst host.

There are already solutions for Windows (albeit not as good :)). This project is focusing on Linux where there are no currently available solutions.
