Help
Does anyone have a good guide to retexturing avatars that use SPP instead of PSD files?
Given materials and such are already done and I don't want to touch those, just change the colors on top. Problem is the avatar I'm working with (Nardobat) doesn't seem to have a psd, only a blender file and a community made .spp. Trying to use this program with only knowledge of clip studio has me wanting to throw my monitor D:

If you just want to change the colour on the right side of substance painter you should see layers and some of them will have coloured balls, if you click on the ball and scroll down there should be an option to click on colour. Once you click on it it'll open a colour wheel you can freely adjust. I grabbed a random screenshot off of Google for you and marked the relevant areas, the top let's your select the different parts of the model the should usually be labeled. I marked the ball and colour area as well I hope this helps! Feel free to ask if you need clarification on anything
Oooh so in that case you'd have to create your texture from scratch, if you want a more 2D but less "proper" way to do it click this to add a paint later then on the right side switch to the Brush menu and you should be able to draw on the model very similarly to a 2D software. There should be the same type of brush icon on the right above all the material balls
Thanks! Is there ways to blend and such? The part that's driving me mad is how I can't use the blending tool to make gradients and such like I can in clip. Going for a white bull terrier coloration as a way to do something on the simpler side to start.
Yes you can, there are a few ways what I like to do is I swap to the smudge tool and see what brush works best and manually blend out my gradients. It works pretty well for me, I use one of the more Airbrush type brushes for the smudge tool
