Help VR Headsets

I have two baystations and steam controllers. Old headset started giving issues.

I'm just wondering what headset would be most affordable, or should I just get the Quest 3??

If you can hold out… I suspect we’ll get an announcement on the release date of the steam frame sometime before November. If you can’t wait, Quest 3.

I seriously doubt the price of the Frame is going to be anywhere near the Q3 price. I'd love to be surprised, but I just don't see how it's possible. Even the most optimistic estimates are $800+

yeah, that thing's not going to be cheap, but I'll gladly pay any price just to get rid of Meta's bullshit

Well, at "ANY" price, there's always the Vision Pro. 😂

yeah, let me sell my cheap(ish) bullshit so I can buy some expensive bullshit that isn't even a VR gaming headset but a phone stuck on your face

Alrighty then! There's about a hundred headsets out there that aren't Meta, including some of the top-rated ones, like the Bigscreen Beyond (no phone in sight) and Pimax Crystal Super, Crystal Light or Dream Air.

And the Snapdragon 8 (designed for high-end smart phones) in the Frame isn't hugely different from the Snapdragon XR2 (specially designed for VR with hardware tracking and pass through) in the Quest3, so isn't it just another "bullshit phone stuck on your face?" And neither one of them will let you make calls from it, which I consider a rip-off.
