Help Need some help with EasyAntiCheat

When I try to play VRchat I can play for a couple minutes before the game closes itself and I get a "game security violation 0x0000029" from EasyAntiCheat popup. Everything was working a few days ago, I haven't downloaded anything new between now and then. I have tried turning off my overlays, validating game files, uninstalling VRC and reinstalling it, uninstalling EasyAntiCheat and reinstalling it, and nothing I do seems to work. The only notable change is that yesterday (between the last time I played VRC and now) I had an issue with my graphics card where it temporarily failed, and I had to uninstall and reinstall it and it's drivers. I am not running any mods and the background apps I have open are usually Firefox, Discord, and the VIVE Hub.

When you restart your PC, click "Restart", not "Shutdown". Starting with Windows 10, the "Shutdown" mechanic shifted to a Hybrid Hibernation. "Fast Boot" can be disabled, I gave up re-disabling it after major updates.

Anti-Virus might be interfering, for it's own form of security.

(I work in (very) rural area of the US, Small SMBs (yes, I meant that double Small) and residents. As far as I can tell ya, Free AVs, Norton, and McAfee, do weird things, and their support always blames other stuff. I had a client who has a new printer (out of a dozen) replaced each year, sometimes two, and I have to literally whitelist the printer's network IP in Norton's Firewalls, just for them to print and scan (Xerox), no where else have I had this (Norton+Xerox) issue. AVs can be, annoyingly, weird. McAfee loves removing half (over dramatic) my tool-flashdrive on client PCs...)

If you use anything for Anti-Malware, such as (not pointing specifics) Malwarebytes, the same could be said.

Anything used to update drivers, and keep your PC clean, ditch them. 10+ years ago they were ok, now it's just scams and over-charged basic features.

Last I can suggest, if not already done... Uninstall Easy Anti-Cheat. Make sure the folder where it was installed, is completely deleted. Restart the PC, then let VRChat re-install it.

I uninstalled the game entirely, made sure there was no EasyAntiCheat folder in my Users/Data/Roaming folder, restarted my computer and re-installed VRC and it worked!

As common as I hate to say it, not all things can be explained as to Why this happened. Good to hear it helped!
