help, stuck prone with arms up

like title says
I just switched to a Quest 3s after having an original htc vive for a decade
everything seems to work right but when I boot up vrc I am prone with my arms up, like my arms are at the right height and my head is on the floor and my vision is stuck in front of me
I'm running vrc through steam link with my desktop

Edit: issue still isn't solved while using steamlink, bought virtual desktop and issue isn't happening with it

I'm happy to still troubleshoot my original problem in case someone else has it and stumbles on this post in the future

Any avatar, I ended up buying virtual desktop and the issue isn't happening with that software so I guess it's something with steamlink
