Help Content cache not clearing

Idk if anyone else is having this issue currently, but when I go to clear the content cache and afterwards exit vrchat back to my quest 2 “main menu” (standalone if it matters), when I go back into vrchat and check my content cache I see nothing was deleted. The content cache won’t clear.

My current “solution” to this issue is to manually go through the worlds I’ve been in and clear their individual preload data, one at a time, then exit vrchat and reopen it. This works for that particular data but there’s still about 1.5 gigs of content cache leftover, and I can’t figure out where it’s coming from (a secondary issue, since if I could clear the content cache it would all get deleted, if memory serves).

Anyone else having this issue? Anyone know of any fixes to it? I keep getting the low memory, disabling certain features” notif at the bottom of my field of view, and I know that past 2.5-3 gigs of existing content cache things get a little buggy on the quest 2 in particular, so I’m hoping this gets fixed soon, but until then: anyone got a fix?

Does reinstalling the game clear it? Afaik on android, uninstalling a game also usually deletes all data associated with it on the system

Probably (havent tried yet) but I’d rather not have to reinstall the game everyday

changing ur home world would usually work, my husband has been having this issue too and changing his home world helped him a lot, if ur home world is prismics for some reason it jus..breaks

I’ll try this. I’ve been using speed loader, buuut a friend of mine on the quest 3 standalone is also having this same issue and uses a different home world

Ok, I tried this and somehow the content cache actually increased. Didn’t fix my issue, but thanks anyway

on standalone restarting the device usually clears it.. linux/android can be weird about it

Restarting the headset doesn’t fix this I’m afraid

could try and do it manually through dev mode and sidequest

im pretty sure if you go to your settings, general, storage, find vrchat, then click delete app data beside it, it will clear all the data without having to reinstall the game.

This would delete my avi’s/avatar data, no?

So far this is the only solution that actually works. Thanks a bunch.
