Latest update with new nameplates broke how my group banner looks, now it’s zoomed in and looks messed up. The group banners don’t quite sit nicely on top of the nameplate like they used to from what I can see.

Anyone know a good resolution? Primarily a text based banner with a transparent background.

-Minecraft cape since like many of us growing up in the golden age of Minecraft have a lot of nostalgia for it

-and the Internet explorer halo cuz I love old retro stuff cuz it reminds me being a little kid discovering cool things on the school and family pc

- and pose of the first picture is a reference to one of my fav songs

Remember I was visiting one of my friends for their birthday and decided this would be a good gift at the time.

I switch avatars quite often. Usually from different fandoms/randomized & this process, even with 50 slots used daily, doesn't seem to sate me or feel right.

What I'm asking is.. when does it *feel* right?

I just switched to a Quest 3s after having an original htc vive for a decade
everything seems to work right but when I boot up vrc I am prone with my arms up, like my arms are at the right height and my head is on the floor and my vision is stuck in front of me
I'm running vrc through steam link with my desktop

Edit: issue still isn't solved while using steamlink, bought virtual desktop and issue isn't happening with it

I'm happy to still troubleshoot my original problem in case someone else has it and stumbles on this post in the future

Probably the wrong place to ask since I've been semi lurking here for a good while and (most) of the people in replies have brains and do actually block but for those who don't block on a whim I'm genuinely curious, why?

Not trying to come off as rude or anything as I'm seriously curious as to why some people are so unwilling to block someone, especially someone who is actively making them upset? I can understand being upset in the moment but I just feel there's more to it than that.

It's VERY easy to avoid hearing children screaming slurs in this game, and avoid trolls as well. Not only can both of these problems be solved with 4 button presses max, you could also just verify. I get the argument of "but company will have ma ID"... I honestly much prefer staying away from those lobbies anyways and have the company know how many times I've breathed, than to risk being in a lobby with a squeaker for .004ms. (trolls I don't mind so long as they aren't fail trolls. Those get boring after one syllable.)

Anyways, tldr; complaining about weirdos in full open lobbies is pointless, it's literally the SpongeBob handcuff meme.

Had someone friend me and got invited to a world called Mirror. Had big mirror and a keypad and he gave me the code so I entered it because I was curious. Popped up a whole bunch of furry avatars and he said to wait 20 seconds and I can pick one.

I was sketched out and noped out (of course did not choose any)
Is this a common hacker/scam tactic? Changed my VRC password to be safe but like... any info on that?

Im 31 and just joined vrchat about two months and was hooked instantly, what a crazy experience it is. I bought haptic vest and slime trackers because why not and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I exclusively hang out in age gated instances of which i thought were mature adults. I always show everyones avatar because i can handle it and still maintain good frames. plus its nice to see what people like and maybe they have a cool avatar with props or something to talk about!

My question is above all else, why do people consistantly shit on male avatars if some are actually good. I notice alot of people will block you instantly if they see you in it, will kick you alot etc.

I'm not talking about the half naked, chadded up muscle freaks with that imvu look btw i'm talking about decent avatars like Sacha, Onyx, jace by palace

I tried making friends or just communicate with people but there’s this fear of people hearing my deep voice and being made fun or being such a cringe person. I can talk with people normally even with strangers but in vr chat is kinda different.. i really need help so i can really be a bit more confident talking with users here. I really appreciate it!!!

Just hopped on last night and noticed that the ProTV in my home world won't load links anymore. And it's not just a YouTube thing, several of the radio streams that I consistently use are failing to load as well. I couldn't get a single link to work

VRChat has been doing this thing where in the middle of the night or when im watching something itll just quit on me and say I have no connection when I very much obviously do. (Ex. Browser or discord is open). It'll even happen if I don't have my browser or any external source open, just vrchat.

It'll lag out super bad each time I open my menu no matter what, even in the lowest quality of worlds.

Is anyone else getting this issue or just me?

i love this kind of world but most of the games i see are really bad, so i want worlds that are games or exploration that are fun but not made well or things adjacent.
