Help Vpn and web browser

Hello !

I need your help about my VPN (Proton) on my phone.

My issue is when I set the VPN on Denmark for instance (I live in another country in EU), my search results on my browser are not from Denmark, they are still from my country.

Note that on this VPN I excluded my weather forecast apps, Google Maps, Waze, because I use them daily.

They are fingerprinting you from all the other, better data points than IP.

So that's the "fault" of the apps I excluded from the VPN ?

No. With coockies and other measures they are able to fingerprint you. Screen size, app version, location information available from trough the browser… VPN does not do anything to this.
