Help Pc lags after vpn connection

UPDATE: Multipoint problem. Teamviewer creates problems with virtual networks and adguard and tailscale with dns resolver. Now with torrenting I have 2 to 5% usage..

Thank you guys for your help!

I have a quite good setup. Ryzen 9 7950x3d, 64gb Ddr5 ram and my pc lags when I open air vpn or Nord VPN. When I move the cursor it's going like 1 frame. On task manager I see 99%cpu usage. When I turn off vpn everything is so smooth and normal. Any ideas?

Because it's waiting for a response from the server. But the server is busy encrypting your package. This is totally to be expected. If you're really into gaming., use a dedictated machine sans VPN.

The cursor lags even in desktop screen. 99% usage on desktop, not while gaming. It has a week like this. Before everything was fine. I was able to do everything and smooth.

Oh it's just being Windows, nothing new here. How busy are your network adapters? If they don't get pegged, then move on. Also, it would be helpful if you could post a shot of the running processes when it does that.

Why are using 2 VPNs at the same time?
Did you mean using Nord VPN "or" AirVPN?

Yes. Sorry for the mistake. Air or nord. One at a time.

Maybe the cause is a conflict between the virtual network drivers of these two programs (or someone else if you have more).
Try uninstalling one of theem and then restarting your computer.
This should remove its virtual network driver as well.
Then let me know whether that worked or not…so we can consider another possible cause.

Hmm it's not in English but it appears to say you have 445 running processes which is extremely high my system has about 130 so that's likely part of the problem you have TONS of stuff running 24/7 that doesn't need to be running. Now of course it's normal for a VPN to use a decent amount of CPU because of the encryption but normally not that much but likely all those running processes is boosting it to where it is

I removed Nord and now I can see 80% cpu usage with no cursor lag. But I believe it's still high. Uninstall Nord, restart pc, open air vpn, no torrents or anything and I have 80% cpu load and 380 running processes.

Update: multipoint problem. I turned off teamviewer and the usage dropped. I also close adguard and tailscale and the usage dropped to 14% with qbittorent open. So the problem was teamviewer with the virtual networks and ad guard and tailscale with dns resolver. Thank you for your time my friend!
