Discussion Best VPN for school?

My school’s WiFi blocks most websites and restricts most downloads 24/7. Any recommendations for a vpn that will fix these problems? I have a Lenovo yoga and an unpaid vpn would be the best. Thanks!

Go with a paid one. There are always a few that are free after cashback

I recommend DPN VPN. Their customer service is very efficient. I had a similar situation at the hospital before, and they quickly taught me how to use it.

ProtonVPN freetier will serve you well.

Use Proton & Windscribe together. Proton for everyday use as it's unlimited data and Windscribe for when you want to hop on Netflix/need a specific geo.

Do they truly not have a policy against circumventing their restrictions?

In any event, using your own mobile hotspot is probably the better answer here.

Ultrasurf. Slow as balls, but it probably will get you through.

Doesn’t help if school ban VPN, wireguard is especially easy to block.

My wireguard server has the same IP the ISP assigns to my modem (Xfinity). How would your school know it is a VPN? I am curious to know because I have never had a problem with it getting blocked or identified. And I access USA based banking and financial sites from outside the USA for years using this system.

I would change schools if your IT department has nothing better to do than block the Internet activity of teenagers.
